Cameron Saul is a designer, social entrepreneur, campaigner and Co-Founder of BOTTLETOP, the sustainable luxury fashion accessory brand and #TOGETHERBAND; a global campaign using creativity and culture to raise awareness and action in support of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Cameron co-founded BOTTLETOP in 2002 with his father, Roger Saul, Founder of Mulberry. Their mission was to use sustainable design to empower economically disadvantaged women and Indigenous communities and advocate for critical social and environmental issues through fashion and creative culture. Today BOTTLETOP has ateliers in Salvador, Kathmandu and the Amazon Rainforest in partnership with the Yawanawá and works with a range of leading edge waste and regenerative materials ranging from waste offcuts from satellite production to confiscated illegal firearm metal, food waste, 3D printed waste plastic, recycled aluminium and various recycled yarns.
BOTTLETOP has worked across the contemporary art and music spaces to raise funds and awareness for specific impact initiatives and inspire action. In 2005, Cameron launched BOTTLETOP’s cross cultural ‘Sound Affects’ album series, followed by the ‘Full Circle’ contemporary art programme in 2009. In 2017, BOTTLETOP opened its London flagship store on Regent Street, the world’s first 3D-printed store made from waste plastic.
BOTTLETOP has collaborated with brands, designers and contemporary artists including Narciso Rodriguez, Prabal Gurung, DKNY, Mulberry, Wangechi Mutu and Idris Khan.
BOTTLETOP launched the #TOGETHERBAND Campaign in 2019 in partnership with the UN Foundation to engage the world in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and inspire action to achieve them. So far, the movement, which combines friendship bands made from waste materials (including recycled illegal firearm metal, ocean plastic thread, recycled satellites and spacecraft and seeds from the Amazon rainforest) with storytelling and live events, has generated over 9 billion digital impressions and raised over $2m for impact projects advancing the 17 SDGs worldwide.
In 2020 BOTTLETOP partnered with the Yawanawá on the creation of an atelier in the Amazon rainforest and in 2023 #TOGETHERBAND launched its first designs from the atelier.
#TOGETHERBAND has worked in partnership with multiple UN agencies, global brands, NGOs, artists, artisans and has cultivated an active community of 500,000 citizens driving action for a healthy planet around the world.
#TOGETHERBAND and its mission to spread awareness and action for a healthy planet is supported by over 1000 Ambassadors ranging from grass roots Indigenous activists Txai Suruí and Sonia Guajajara to cultural and sporting icons such as David Beckham and Lewis Hamilton to scientists and experts including Ban Ki-moon, Dr. Sylvia Earle and Mary Robinson.
Cameron has spoken about the importance and role of creative culture in driving positive social and environmental impact alongside leaders including Vice President Al Gore, environmentalist Jane Goodall, scientist Johan Rockstrom and Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
He has spoken at key events globally ranging from the UN General Assembly in NY and COP Climate summit in Glasgow, Sharm El Sheik and Dubai to Miami Art Basel, London Fashion Week, the World Trade Organisation Public Forum in Geneva, the Milken Institute in Los Angeles, and the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Cameron was invited to attend and speak as a Culture Leader in 2024.
