Álvaro Garnero is a businessman in the hotel industry and a media personality. As an entrepreneur, he introduced several innovations to the Brazilian market: he brought the concepts of gourmet clubs and beach clubs to Brazil. With Camarote nº1, he was responsible for transforming the VIP areas of the Rio de Janeiro Carnival from corporate spaces into a profitable business through ticket sales. He also created, in partnership with XP, the first advance fund for artists. Garnero is currently a partner in the brand Café de la Musique, the largest chain of beach clubs in Brazil, the Braza restaurant in São Paulo, and organizes the famous New Year’s Eve event Zé Maria in Fernando de Noronha. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Brasilinvest Group. Since 2007, he has hosted the television program 50 por 1, which has become a national tourism reference. In 2020, Garnero was appointed Brazil’s Tourism Ambassador. Today, he also serves as an ambassador for brands such as Courchevel, Revo, Viva Carnauba, and Swan Hellenic.
