Álvaro Garnero is a Brazilian entrepreneur with a degree in management from San Diego State and an MBA from National University.
His entire academic training was in the United States, where he lived for 15 years and became a father. When he returned to Brazil, Álvaro invested in hospitality: he opened numerous restaurants and nightclubs, eventually creating Café de la Musique, the first dining club in Brazil. The idea was a success, leading to the opening of more locations, and the dining club evolved into an even more modern concept: the Beach Club. Today, there are dozens of Café de la Musique venues operating throughout Brazil, in addition to parties hosted under the club’s name in some of the most sought-after locations in the world.
In addition to his work in hospitality, Álvaro Garnero is also a highly respected name in entertainment. In 2007, he began hosting the show «50 por 1,» where he showcased his charisma, extensive knowledge, and ability to navigate various environments, from the most luxurious to the most popular, in different countries around the world. Initially intended as a documentary with 50 episodes, the program became a reference for national tourism. Today, «50 por 1» is featured as a segment within the highest-rated show on Rede Record, «Domingo Espetacular,» attracting an average of 25 million weekly viewers, and is broadcast in over 150 countries by Record International.
Today, Álvaro Garnero juggles multiple roles: he hosts «50 por 1,» successfully integrated as a segment of «Domingo Espetacular,» holds strategic positions at BrasilInvest, is a partner in the Café de la Musique brand, which has numerous Beach Clubs in Brazil, and two hotels, and is also a partner in Café Society alongside composer Seu Jorge and entrepreneur Dinho Diniz. Additionally, since 2016, Álvaro Garnero has co-hosted Camarote nº 1 at the Sambódromo with José Victor Oliva – the most sought-after VIP box at Brazilian Carnival.
